Mental health affects every aspect of our lives. From how we parent, work, engage in social activities, make choices in our lives, and is greatly the root-cause affecting our physical health.
I earned my Bachelor of Science at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 2004 and my Master of Social Work at Saint Louis University in 2006. I have worked in a variety of settings such as post-operative care, transitioning between hospital to home, and for the last 16 years, I worked as a School Social Worker. I am also an Ambassador with Alive and Well Communities in St. Louis as a trainer for Trauma Informed Care.
I specialize in working with individuals and groups, ages 12+, presenting with a vast array of needs, some co-occurring.
Specialties include therapies centered around Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder and other mood disorders, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Parenting, Interpersonal Struggles and Violence, Suicidal Ideation, and Self-Harm, among many other diagnoses and hardships that people face.
In addition to the traditional forms of therapy, I like to promote wellness through holistic modalities including mindfulness, aromatherapy, and nature-based approaches.
I work collaboratively with each client to develop & strengthen their coping skills to address the challenges life brings their way. My goal is to make a difference in the lives of others by instilling a sense of hope & empowerment while providing a haven for healing. During these unprecedented times, I continue to offer telehealth sessions.

My style of therapy is relaxed, focused, respectful of boundaries, and attentive with active listening. My goal for all of my clients is to identify healthy positive coping skills that will allow one to build self-sufficiency, resiliency, and sustainability in a safe and peaceful environment.
